Bulgogi Lettuce Wraps with Korean BBQ-Style Steak Tips

This dish is flat out addictive. Kevin’s mouth-watering steak tips and bulgogi-style sauce pair beautifully with all of these fresh veggies. Whip it up as a crowd-pleasing appetizer or serve it as a meal!

Ingredients


Kevin's Natural Foods Korean BBQ Beef
1 head butter lettuce or lettuce of choice
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup sliced green onions
2 tsp toasted sesame oil
1 tsp sriracha sauce or 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Make It Your Own Toppings:
Persian cucumbers, peeled into ribbons
Jicama, peeled, julienned
Snow pea pods, julienned
Asian Pear, julienned
Red bell pepper, thinly sliced
Celery, thinly sliced
Carrots, shredded
Mini rainbow carrots, sliced
Red Cabbage, shredded
Herbs: chopped cilantro, mint, basil

Extra Bulgogi Sauce: (optional)
2 tbsp avocado oil
1 tbsp unseasoned rice vinegar
1 tsp Coconut Amnios
1 tbsp finely Asian pear
1 tsp finely grated ginger
1 garlic clove, finely grated
1/2 tsp sriracha hot sauce
1/2 tsp toasted sesame seed oil
1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

    Prepare lettuce leaves, and any vegetables from the Make It Your Own Toppings list you desire. Set aside.

    Purchase packaged shredded carrots and red cabbage to save time!

    Prepare Extra Bulgogi Sauce, if desired. Whisk all Bulgogi Sauce ingredients, until well combined. Set aside.

    Note: The veggies are tasty when dressed with extra Bulgogi Sauce, however, totally optional! The Korean BBQ Beef has plenty of flavor to carry the entire dish.

    Prepare Korean BBQ Beef. Snip the corner of the bag and drain natural broth and discard. Remove steak from package, and slice in 1/2-inch pieces.

    Heat skillet, over MEDIUM-HIGH heat, and add steak, mushrooms, and green onions. Cook, and frequently stir, for 4 minutes.

    Reduce heat to LOW. Add Kevin’s Korean BBQ Sauce, sesame seed oil, and sriracha. Simmer 1-2 minute, stirring until all ingredients are well combined.

    Toss selected toppings in extra Bulgogi Sauce. Divide Bulgogi Steak Tips into the lettuce cups, and arrange toppings in the manner that your palate and eye enjoys!

    Keto Tip: A teaspoon of sriracha sauce contains 3-5 grams of carbs, which is rather insignificant. Even though sriracha sauce has no protein and fat, it will not throw off your keto carb count when sparingly consumed. Sriracha does not have value for you from the keto diet perspective except for the fact it has a high concentration of capsaicin. Capsaicin can boost your metabolism!
