Staff Accountant

This person will be responsible for compiling, maintaining, and reconciling financial records to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.

This role is onsite in Stockton, CA.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and record journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily.
  • Maintain periodic general ledger reconciliations.
  • Maintain SOPs and desk procedures.
  • Conduct analysis of periodic activity in assigned accounts.
  • Prepare required regulatory reporting and internal reports.
  • Prepare third party PBC (“provided by client”) schedules.
  • Research various accounting issues, as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned or necessary.


What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Have a strong knowledge of GAAP basis accounting.
  • Advanced understanding of Excel formulas (i.e. V-Lookups, If statements, Pivot Tables); ERP/SAP a plus.
  • Prepare and record a high number of journal entries.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000.

Material Planner

The Material Planner will be responsible for managing raw material & packaging inventory and ensure material availability is consistent with factory production schedules/requirements. Further responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, using ERP systems to manage purchase orders and ontime delivery, participation in continuous improvement programs, coordinating with internal departments, and managing stakeholder relations. This individual will liaise with category buyers, master scheduler, factory operations/production teams.

 

PAY RATE: $23.00-$25.50/HOUR

ONSITE IN STOCKTON, CA

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and maintain purchase orders for direct sourced raw materials and packaging using MRP/SAP based systems or processes.
  • Work with suppliers on a daily basis and manage Supplier Delivery Performance (On Time In Full) KPIs - Need to be extremely proactive with a high sense of urgency on supplier follow ups for purchase order delivery dates and ordered quantities, this also involves tracking shipments via ASNs (Advanced Shipping Notices) for ground and ocean freight to ensure it is delivered and received ontime at the right warehouse.
  • Support factory operations and production team, buyers and purchasing activities, mitigate supply issues and inventory replenishment/replacement due to inventory adjustments or non-conforming material, establish root cause and corrective action.
  • Manages dynamic forecasts and manages replenishment planning for materials to ensure specified customer service levels are met.
  • Communicate daily issues, including specification changes, deviations, late deliveries, etc. with factory production team and category buyers.
  • Manage Supplier Lead Times, MOQs and Transit times.
  • Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish, develop and maintain healthy working relationships with suppliers, internal cross functional teams and peers.
  • Organizes the internal flow of materials within the manufacturing unit/factory and the transferring of materials to and from the inventory or warehouse.
  • Expedite raw materials and packaging materials from approved suppliers as needed with consideration for cost and value.
  • Escalate challenging supply issues to category buyers and related stakeholders in a timely manner after exhaustion of efforts.
  • Participate and implement continuous improvement programs to reduce improve quality, lead-time, and reduce costs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities, develop and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or service.
  • Extensive experience in Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Extensive experience in Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Issues, and considerations for systematically managing distribution of inventory for multiple plants or warehouses; ability to apply related knowledge and experience in real practice

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field or similar.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in material planning or scheduling, inventory management and working with vendors/suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems: Specifically using SAP/MRP systems or alternative system to manage inventory, knowledge of the process, must be able to comfortably navigate and execute in the commonly used screens or environments.
  • Great communication and conflict management skills is a must as this is a very dynamic, fast paced supply chain environment that may occasionally be of high stress.
  • Must be proficient at reading, math, written and verbal communication.
  • ust have intermediate computer skills with a good working knowledge of spreadsheets, high proficiency in Excel preferred.
  • Must be a team player with good work ethic and ability to work under pressure.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for monitoring, and programing critical control points (CCP), product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.
  • Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
  • Ensures the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing.
  • Work closely with production staff to maintain and education in the areas of sanitation, hygiene, GMP’s, and other food safety guidelines.
  • Responsible to issue disciplinary action when directed.
  • Collect product samples for product development, lab retains, and the laboratory when directed.
  • Perform inspections on products, equipment, and machinery.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by QA Management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a food processing environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a meat or poultry processing environment preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or Diploma in Microbiology or food science. (
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP’s, allergens, and food defense
  • HACCP Certification.
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
  • Flexibility and ability to work mandatory overtime and weekends as needed.

Schedule:

  • 2:00pm-6:00am
  • Monday - Friday with rotating weekends.
  • Will be expected to work overtime

QA Supervisor - 2nd Shift

The QA Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of Food Safety and Quality Assurance technicians. In this role, the supervisor will oversee the direct supervision of Quality Technicians to ensure all Quality, Food Safety checks are being performed accurately. They will report directly to Director of Food Safety & Quality Assurance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure that all Quality Assurance functions are being performed, and documented, in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Assist QA technicians in performing internal, regulatory agency facility, and operational audits.
  • Perform microbiological plate test such as food, environmental and air testing.
  • Ensure that all Quality Assurance functions are being performed, and documented, in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with Technicians to follow up on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) deviations, and report Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Perform frequent, daily walk through of the facility to ensure that all quality and food safety standards are compiled and adhered and submit corrective action request as needed to perspective departments.
  • Perform shelf-life testing and manage shelf-life spread sheets.
  • Assist production in managing of Pack offs.

What You’ll Need:

  • At least 3-4 years prior experience in a similar role with direct reports.
  • Must have Quality Assurance experience in a food manufacturing plant.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
