Maintenance Technician, PM Shift

This position operates in a food manufacturing facility where exposure to noise, temperature changes, wet floors, and moving mechanical parts may occur. All work must be performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company food safety standards.

The shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm with overtime or weekends as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) and basic repairs on production, packaging, and facility equipment.

  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on food processing and packaging equipment.

  • Replace and adjust belts, bearings, seals, motors, and other basic mechanical components as directed.

  • Follow all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hazard Communication (HazCom), and Cal/OSHA requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and timely maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation.

  • Clean, lubricate, and inspect machinery in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Support production teams during line changeovers, startups, and equipment setups.

  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, or equipment malfunctions to supervision.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.

  • Other duties as assigned and necessary.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 0–2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safe maintenance practices.

  • Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines.

  • Basic computer literacy for completing work orders and maintenance logs.

What You’ll Do:

-Monitors and analyzes raw and finished goods inventory levels, inventory status, inventory availability and inventory movements to ensure product availability.

· Performs routine cycle counts and as directed by management. Reports findings to management.

· Reconciles and updates inventory to ensure system accuracy.

· Reviews inventory aging status to ensure adherence to FEFO; notifies management of issues immediately.

· Identifies slow or nonmoving items and communicates to management.

· Periodically reviews inventory on hold and follows up with QA on pending Product Disposition Requests (PDRs).

· Works with Production Coordinators and Procurement team and perform ad hoc item physical counts to ensure correct levels of inventory are available for production needs.

· Quantifies and submits for evaluation and authorization all inventory adjustments required.

· Ensures that identified damaged materials and shortages are properly reconciled and posted in SAP.

· Issues daily Inventory adjustment reconciliation to Management.

· Researches discrepancies from production in stock as necessary and makes necessary changes to correct discrepancies.

· Maintains a safe, clean working environment.

· Participates in quality improvement efforts.

· Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence. Performs other duties as assigned by manager

What You’ll Need:

- Two years related experience or equivalent

· Experience with inventory and clerical administrative practices, including SAP

Production Coordinator

This role is Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-5:30PM with weekends and overtime as needed.

The primary responsibility of a Production Coordinator is to coordinate the production process by working closely with Operations, Production teams, and Customer Service. This individual is a key partner in ensuring a quality product is delivered to the customer on time and in full. · Prepare weekly adjustment reports.

· Collaborate and assist with inventory transaction analysis and corrections as needed.

· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

· Assist to resolve problems relating to shortages, variances, or other impediments to ensure smooth material flow through the plant.

· Participate in production planning meetings as needed to meet cost reduction, inventory accuracy and on time delivery goals.

· 2-3 years’ experience in production coordinating

Packaging Engineer

As our Packaging Engineer at Kevin’s Natural Foods, you’ll help create packaging that protects our food quality, minimizes our impact on the planet, excites our consumers, and supports smart, sustainable growth. You’ll collaborate with teams across the business to make sure every package is built for quality, efficiency, and success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, test, and commercialize primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions that support new product launches, quality improvements, and value‑engineering initiatives.
  • Build packaging specifications, drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Apply knowledge of materials such as film structures, pouches, trays, corrugate, and other food‑grade packaging formats relevant to refrigerated, frozen, and shelf‑stable applications.
  • Partner closely with R&D, Operations, Procurement, Food Safety & Quality, Marketing, and external suppliers to bring packaging concepts from idea through commercialization.
  • Proactively identify and test emerging materials that align with our mission to reduce our environmental footprint while maintaining food safety.
  • Design and execute test plans using sound experimental methods to assess material performance, distribution durability, seal integrity, shelf life, and compatibility with processing equipment.
  • Support packaging readiness during plant trials, production start‑ups, and ongoing operational needs.
  • Troubleshoot packaging failures or process challenges, recommend solutions, and document learnings to enable continuous improvement.

What You’ll Need:

  • 2–5+ years of experience in Packaging Engineering or Packaging Development.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
  • Working knowledge of packaging materials (films, laminations, plastics, corrugate, etc.) and how they interact with manufacturing equipment and food processing environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, stay organized, and move work forward in a fast‑paced setting.

  • Working knowledge of food safety and quality requirements as they relate to packaging (FDA, USDA, SQF, HACCP, GMP’s, etc.).

Culinary Assurance Supervisor

The Culinary Assurance Supervisor serves as a key leader accountable for performance and integrity of food safety, quality and culinary assurance.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering safe, quality and delicious food to the Kevin’s Natural Foods consumer.  This role ensures day-to-day compliance and product quality. This role will lead others to deliver safe and delicious excellence.  If you don’t love adapting to the changes of a fast-growing business, this opportunity is not for you.

What You’ll Do: 

·       Collaborate with Operations, Sanitation and leadership to drive ownership of food safety, quality, and culinary standards on the production floor

·       Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and culinary standards are integrated into the entire production process

·       Develop, recommend and monitor corrective actions when deficiencies in food safety or quality are identified

·       Supervise and mentor the Q&FS teams and beyond through training, coaching and performance management

·       Provide ongoing support for hourly team members across facilities

·       Implement food safety, quality assurance and culinary programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and finished product standards

·       Plan, conduct and monitor inspections and testing of materials and products to ensure safety and culinary quality

·       Generate reports describing activities, trends and expenditures; communicate findings and action plan to necessary/appropriate parties; to include lab data technical analysis

·       Ensure adherence to quality programs, including HACCP and GMPs

·       Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the food safety culture and reduce risk across facilities

·       Develop and execute training programs to support the company’s food safety, quality and culinary objectives

·       Ensure the prompt and accurate implementation of new regulations at facilities and with suppliers

·       Represent the Q&FS team on cross-functional teams and collaborate on company-wide initiatives

·       Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need:  

·       Passion for delivering safe, quality and delicious food to the consumer.

·      At least 3-4 years experience in a management role (w/ direct reports) in a commercial food environment (food manufacturing, or multi-unit food operator, or similar) 

·      Quality Assurance or Food Safety experience in a food manufacturing plant strongly desired

·      Restaurant cooking experience strongly desired

·      USDA experience a plus

·       Knowledge of food safety principes, including HACCP, GMPs and the willingness to learn more

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and SAP.

·      Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.  

·      Thrive in a start-up environment. 

·      Bilingual - English/Spanish is a plus.

Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing basic maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks to ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of production equipment and facilities in a food manufacturing environment. This is an entry-level position working under direct supervision and providing support to senior technicians and the Maintenance Manager.

The shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm with overtime as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) and basic repairs on production, packaging, and facility equipment.
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on food processing and packaging equipment.
  • Replace and adjust belts, bearings, seals, motors, and other basic mechanical components as directed.
  • Follow all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hazard Communication (HazCom), and Cal/OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage documentation.
  • Clean, lubricate, and inspect machinery in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Support production teams during line changeovers, startups, and equipment setups.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, or equipment malfunctions to supervision.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Other duties as assigned and necessary.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safe maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company and Cal/OSHA standards.


Work Environment:

This position operates in a food manufacturing facility where exposure to noise, temperature changes, wet floors, and moving mechanical parts may occur. All work must be performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company food safety standards.

Accounts Payable Clerk

This AP Clerk completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

What You’ll Do:

  • Code invoices to the proper G/L accounts and cost centers in SAP

  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Support in the weekly ACH/Check run

  • Maintain relationships with assigned vendors.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts using monthly statements.
  • Perform vendor call backs to validate that the required information is accurate.
  • Collect and maintain the appropriate W-9 Forms from our vendors
  • Complete credit applications for new vendors
  • Calculates sales/use tax for eligible invoices
  • Prepare period end accruals and validate the coding of invoices for the accrual.
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents.
  • Administrative duties such as filing, department organizing, pulling invoices, investigating charges, etc.

This is a remote role with travel to Stockton, CA 1-2x a quarter.

The Director of FP&A will serve as a strategic finance leader for Kevin’s Natural Foods, owning the company’s financial planning, forecasting, and analysis processes. Culinary Scientist

As a Culinary Scientist at Kevin’s Natural Foods, you will bridge the gap between culinary creativity and food science expertise. You will be responsible for developing innovative, flavorful, and health-conscious products that meet our rigorous quality, safety, and certification standards.

This role requires a unique combination of culinary intuition, scientific rigor, and commercial awareness to take concepts from initial ideation in the test kitchen through full-scale manufacturing. You will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Marketing, and Sales to ensure products not only delight our consumers but also align with Kevin’s mission of empowering busy people to eat clean without sacrificing flavor. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develops new product ideas and concepts, from test prototype samples through commercialization

  • Actively seeks out new food trends, consumer tastes, requests, and nutrition while monitoring local and national competition.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining data in a variety of systems for product IP, Operations training and internal/external compliance
  • Works closely with the teams on establishing production processes, monitoring consistency and quality of foods, problem-solving production variances, and packaging of all items.
  • Partner with Marketing and sales for new product introductions, food styling, photoshoots, etc.
  • GFCO/Paleo/NGPV/USDA awareness and applied knowledge
  • All other duties as assigned or necessary.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Passion for delivering safe, quality and delicious food to Kevin’s Natural Foods consumers.
  • Bachelors degree in Culinology, Culinary Science, Food Science, Meat Science, Nutrition, or Culinary School certification with applied technical experience.
  • 1-3 years applied experience in a restaurant kitchen or commercial/manufacturing environment, research chef experience is a plus.
  • 2-4 years product development experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive ingredient functionality, flavor development, and sensory evaluation experience.
  • Understanding complex food systems from a physical and chemical perspective.
  • Sound working knowledge of food science principals and manufacturing principles such as GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitary practices and regulations.
  • Good laboratory practices, including organized data documentation and presentation, attention to detail, and ability to follow batch protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects/tasks at any given time.
  • Strong computer skills, especially working with nutritional software, spreadsheets, and quality systems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven success in development using sterilization of food products.
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration in small groups.
  • Product development of paleo/keto food products a strong plus.

Salary Range: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
