Kevin's Teriyaki Chicken Stir-Fry

Ingredients

1 (32 oz) pkg Kevin’s Natural Foods Teriyaki Chicken Stir-Fry
1 TBSP avocado oil or preferred cooking oil
2 TSP lime zest, zest from 1 lime
1 TBSP lime juice
1/4 TSP red pepper flakes, optional
1 TBSP sesame seeds
Garnish: fresh mint or basil

Instructions

  • 1

Snip the edge off of the sous-vide chicken pouch and drain. Remove chicken from the package and cut or tear into bite size pieces. Remove vegetables from the package and cut into bite size pieces, if necessary.

  • 2

Heat the skillet, over MEDIUM-HIGH until extremely hot, and add oil. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully add chicken, and cook for 1-minute without stirring. Turn chicken over, and cook for 1-minute.

Cook it like a wok star: pat the chicken dry with a paper towel, before adding to hot oil to lessen splatter.

  • 3

Add sous-vide vegetables and teriyaki sauce and simmer on low, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes.

  • 4

Remove the skillet from heat. Add lime zest, lime juice, and red pepper flakes (optional).

Get Zesty! Add orange zest, tangerine zest, or lemon zest for added zing!

  • 5

To serve: Fill 4 individual-serving bowls evenly with Teriyaki Chicken and Vegetables Stir-Fry. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Garnish with chopped or whole mint and/or basil leaves.
