Kevin's Korean BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

Kevin's Natural Foods Korean BBQ Sauce
1 tbsp Kevin’s All-Purpose Seasoning
2 NY Steaks/ Top Sirloin (1-1.5 LBS)
2 cups broccoli florets
2 medium sized sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into ½ inch thick cubes
1 large avocado, cubed

Instructions

  • 1

Start with your steaks, season them generously with Kevin’s All-Purpose Seasoning. Allow them to sit and dry for about 30 min while you prepare the rest of your ingredients.

You can marinate these but because it’s a higher quality cut, the flavors are already pronounced. If you choose a skirt or flank, marinating is definitely necessary for tenderizing and adding flavor.

  • 2

Take your peeled and cubed sweet potatoes on a pan drizzled with oil of your choice and salt, roast them at 425° for about 25 min or until tender.

  • 3

While your potatoes roast, take your seasoned steaks and in a very hot heavy-duty pan with oil, sear both sides of your steak about 3 min on each side. Reduce your heat and cook the steak for about 5-10 more mins (depending on the thickness) for the perfect and recommended Medium done 140°F.

Resist the temptation to overflip or press down on your steak, try to leave them alone which will allow for them to hold the most flavor and juice

  • 4

Remove your steaks and let them rest for about 10 min before serving, this gives you time to make the perfect glaze using Kevin’s Korean BBQ Sauce

  • 5

Deglaze your pan with Kevin’s Korean BBQ Sauce, allow the sauce to cook and thicken for about 3-5 min

If you want to elevate your sauce even more try adding red wine for more depth, just make sure to cook the alcohol out 6-8 min

  • 6

Once everything is done, cut your steak against its natural marbling, pair with steamed broccoli, roasted sweet potatoes and avocado. Finish with a pour of Korean BBQ Sauce and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve and Enjoy!
